RLI Sipat on 14 December 2022 organised a leadership program for women employees of NTPC Sipat. The program focused on leadership trait development among women. It helped the participants realise that leadership is not always related to the position and designation but everyone is a born leader.

Mrs Ruchi Khanna Gulati, Founder, of Mindseye Consultants, Delhi was the chief speaker of the program. Shri A.K. Tripathy initiated the program with a brief on the genre enlightening the Sipat women. Shri Ramanath Pujari, CGM (O&M), NTPC Sipat was also in the program.

Shri Ghanshyam Prajapati, ED, NTPC Sipat highlighted the essence of leadership and remarked that leadership is by birth, people need to develop/ nurture the trait of leadership.

"If we cannot do then, nobody can do it. And if everybody can do it then, I can also do it," ED, Sipat exclaimed while explaining the best trait defined to be a leader of the world and society.

The case for balancing the power equation in leadership has never been more clear: elevating women in decision-making benefits politics, businesses, and communities. But progress in women’s leadership will not happen automatically, it all needs small steps and sufficient time. For example, NTPC Sipat has also recruited a women-centric ET batch wherein, 100% of the hiring was of females.

The pipeline for female leaders seems to be widening. Women have made significant gains in educational attainment in recent decades, better positioning themselves not only for career success but also for leadership positions. Women have also made inroads into managerial positions and professional fields in recent decades.
